On certain vehicles, the front suspension's right side upper A-arm bolt could loosen if not tightened properly during vehicle assembly. Should the bolt loosen and fall out the A-arm could dislodge, which could result in poor steering characteristics and could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will remove the right upper A-arm bolt, apply thread-lock agent to its threads, then reinstall and tighten to proper torque specifications.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009366.
