On certain fire trucks, the air cleaner support bracket fasteners may loosen and fall out. This could allow the air cleaner and bracket to fall onto the engine and damage fuel system components. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the upper air cleaner bracket mounting fasteners. In addition, a safety label will be affixed to the air cleaner bracket to warn service personnel to tighten the fasteners to the prescribed torque after any air cleaner adjustment.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011158.
