On certain motorcycles, a return spring eyelet on the throttle/governor assembly could catch on a protruding fuel line and interfere with throttle control. If this occurs, the throttle could become stuck in a partially applied or wide open position, rather than return to the idle position. This could result in a loss of throttle control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Consumers are advised to contact Baja Motorsports at 1-888-864-2252 to request a repair kit which consists of a replacement fuel line and instructions for proper installation.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012051.
