On certain motorhomes, long periods of non-driving may cause the brake calipers to stick in the applied position. This can result in abnormal heat generation at the wheel end which, if undetected, could eventually lead to a soft brake pedal condition due to brake fluid boil. This could increase stopping distances, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake calipers.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012210.
