On certain school buses equipped with an I-6 engine, the high pressure engine oil line (between the cylinder head and the high pressure pump) may fail. This would cause an engine oil leak, which could result in sudden engine shut down. Lost vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driveru2019s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. In addition, oil may contact a hot engine or exhaust component, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace the high pressure engine oil line.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012322.
