On certain vehicles, the Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) electrical wire may break due to vibration damage at the crimp/wire connection. This could cause an unexpected engine shut down without warning. Loss of vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driveru2019s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a redesigned IPR wire connector.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2013012.
