On certain vehicles, the engine calibration for the u201climp homeu201d mode was inadvertently set too high at 1750 rpm instead of 1200 rpm. Should the u201climp homeu201d mode be activated, the increased idle speed may cause sudden and unexpected acceleration, which could result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle if the transmission is not shifted into neutral. This could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install updated engine calibration software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2013059.
