Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 101 - Controls and Displays and CMVSS 126 - Electronic Stability Control Systems. Some vehicles may experience random illumination of multiple cluster warning lights or loss of cluster illumination. This could also interfere with the ABS and electronic stability control systems, affecting directional control of the vehicle under certain driving conditions, and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the ABS and instrument cluster modules and tighten the alternator ground connection.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2013343.
