On certain motorcycles, due to a defect in the fuel level indication system, the engine may run out of fuel when the fuel range indicator shows that there are still kilometers remaining, and in some cases before the low fuel warning lamp illuminates. This would result in the engine stalling, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will apply a software update to recalibrate the fuel level indication system.
