Both registers carry the same date for this defect.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 14V658, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

On certain vehicles, the panoramic sunroof glass and steel frame may have been manufactured out of tolerance. This issue may result in the sunroof fracturing if the vehicle were to experience a sudden jolt, especially in cold temperatures. Sunroof glass panel breakage, while the vehicle is in motion, could cause driver distraction, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Additionally, broken glass inside the vehicle poses a risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will replace the panoramic sunroof glass assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2014465.
