On certain buses, the tie rod end castle nuts used on certain front axle and steerable tag axles may not have been tightened to specification. If the castle nuts were to come completely loose, the steering linkage could separate without warning. This could result in a loss of steering control, Increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the castle nuts, and if necessary, tighten them to the proper specification. The tie rod end and arm will be replaced if damage is found.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2015123.
