Transport Canada carries this recall as 2015185, dated 6 May 2015. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 15V267, dated 8 May 2015. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 15150.

The two registers are 2 days apart: the Canadian entry is dated first, the American one second.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 15V267, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 207 u2013 Anchorage of Seats. Certain seat-frame attachment hooks that secure the front driver and/or front passenger's seat may not have been properly attached to the vehicle body during the assembly process. If this condition were present, the seat could fail to meet the requirements of the standard. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect seats for proper installation, and if required, disassemble and properly reassemble the seats.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2015185.
