On certain vehicles, a defect in the tag axle could cause the wheel bearings to overheat, potentially resulting in wheel bearing failure. Bearing overheating could be detected through the illumination of the ABS warning light, or melting and/or deformation of the axle bearing cover. Wheel bearing failure could affect vehicle handling, increasingthe risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect wheel bearings and adjust/replace as necessary.
