Transport Canada carries this recall as 2016569, dated 16 November 2016. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 16V837, dated 18 November 2016. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 16510.

The two registers are 2 days apart: the Canadian entry is dated first, the American one second.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 16V837, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

On certain school buses, the formed heater hose going to the driveru2019s heater could rupture allowing hot coolant to leak into the operators foot area. If hot coolant were to come in contact with the operator, it could result in a burn injury and, depending on the driveru2019s reaction, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the formed heater hose.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2016569.
