On certain vehicles, the rear-suspension toe-links may have been installed incorrectly (i.e., in the reverse direction). If a toe-link is installed in this incorrect direction, the bolt at the outboard attachment could come loose and fall out over time, which could cause the toe-link to disconnect from the rear-suspension system. If a rear-suspension toe-link becomes disconnected, the driver may lose the ability to control the vehicle, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and reorient the toe-links as required.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2017222.
