Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 121 - Air Brake Systems. Clamps securing the front brake hoses may have been over-tightened at time of assembly. This could distort the brake hoses, potentially causing damage and leaks. If a leak occurs, it would cause delay brake actuation, and could cause the vehicle to fail to conform to the standard. A delay in brake actuation would increase stopping distances, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair air hoses and clamps as necessary.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2017291.
