Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles equipped with the 2.0l engine coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission, the torque converter could separate from the engine flex plate due to inadequate welds on the attachment studs. If this occurs, this would result in a sudden loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the torque converter.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2017332.
