Certain travel trailers may have been manufactured with an incorrect propane detector and carbon monoxide detector. The installed component only includes a propane detector, but not a carbon monoxide detector. If an enclosed recreational vehicle is missing a carbon monoxide detector, it would not alert the occupants to a possible elevated level of carbon monoxide, which could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning to the vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will install a carbon monoxide detector.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2017491.
