Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, a wiring connector located under the driver's side carpet may become contaminated by salt water and corrode over time. This could cause a short-circuit that may cause the connector to overheat and melt and potentially lead to a fire if combustible objects are nearby. A vehicle fire could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will relocate and replace the wiring connector terminal to a higher position and replace the rear display harness with a new one.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2018589.
