Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTVu2019s, the covers for the clutch inlet ducts may not have been removed. These covers are used to prevent debris from entering the clutch during manufacturing and shipping and should have been removed prior to sale and use. If the clutch inlet duct covers are not removed, there would be no flow of air to the clutch and it could overheat. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA clutch that overheats could result in a loss of power to the driving wheels and create the risk of a fire. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect if the covers are present. If the covers are found, they will be removed and the dealer will inspect and replace the clutch belt as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019277.
