Issue: rnOn certain FleetMax Type III G3500 ambulances, the locking pin that secures the sliding attendant's seat on the passenger side of the patient compartment may not be strong enough. As a result, the pin could fail in a crash and allow the seat to move. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA seat that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnCrestline will notify owners by mail and provide materials and instructions for replacing the locking pin on the sliding seat. To reduce the safety risk, Crestline recommends that you should secure the sliding seat mechanism in place using the existing adjusting screws until the recall repairs have been completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021147.
