Issue: rnOn certain motorhomes, the voltage regulator for the alternator that charges the house batteries may be defective. As a result, the batteries could be over-charged and the electrical system could be damaged. If this happens, the batteries could leak acid. rnrnSafety Risk: rnLeaking battery acid could create an injury risk. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnRoadtrek will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect the additional alternator and replace it, if necessary. In order to minimize the safety risk before this inspection is completed, you should monitor the battery voltage to ensure that it does not exceed 15 volts. If it does, Roadtrek recommends that you should stop using the vehicle immediately to avoid causing damage. If you are in an emergency situation, you can remove the drive belt on the additional alternator to prevent the batteries from being over-charged.
