Issue: rnOn certain trucks built with aluminum battery cables, the terminal that attaches the battery cable to the frame may break. If this happens, there could be a loss of electrical power and the engine could shut off suddenly. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of power while driving could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnDaimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect the battery cables for corrosion and/or damage. They will be repaired or replaced with copper cables, as necessary.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021399.
