Issue: rnOn one trailer equipped with a Dexter Smart-Steer 2.0 self-steering axle, the steer arm that attaches to the knuckle could break. If this happens, the steer arm could fall from the trailer. rn rnSafety Risk: rnParts that fall from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnWalinga will notify the owner by mail and instruct you to make arrangements with a Dexter authorized service facility to replace the steer arms on your trailer.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022628.
