Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the carpet could catch fire after a crash where a front seat belt pretensioner deploys. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA fire that occurs after a crash could create an increased risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnGeneral Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install foil tape under the carpet near the front seatbelt pretensioners. On certain model year vehicles, the technician will also install seatbelt pretensioner covers.
