Issue: rnUnder certain conditions, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, the pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. rnNote: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine and a manual transmission. Vehicles repaired under FCA Canada recalls Y01, Y03 and Y07 (Transport Canada recall 2021-035) also require this repair. rnrnSafety Risk: rnDebris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to tale your vehicle to a dealership to replace the clutch assembly. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster and powertrain control module software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023089.
