Issue:
This recall is for rear shock absorber kits that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory.On certain motorcycles, the screw that attaches the rear shock absorber adjuster could break. If this happens, the shock absorber adjuster could move and damage the rear tire. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and a tire failure.

A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.Corrective Actions:
Harley-Davidson will notify registered owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the rear shock adjuster screw. If you have purchased one of these accessory parts, you can contact Harley-Davidson or a local dealer to determine if your shock absorber kit is affected by this recall.
