Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the tail lamps don't turn on when the daytime running lamps (DRLs) are on. Canadian regulations require that, if a vehicle has dash backlighting, the low beam headlamps and tail lamps must automatically switch on when it's dark or the tail lamps must stay on at all times. rnrnSafety Risk: rnDriving without tail lamps in low light conditions could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnPrevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to update the vehicle software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023698.
