Issue: rnOn a small number of trucks equipped with a Hendrickson Composilite steerable lift axle, the steering knuckles may not have been assembled properly during production. As a result, oil could leak from the wheel hub and cause the axle spindles to become loose and separate. rnrnSafety Risk: rnParts that separate from the truck could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnPaccar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering knuckles assemblies.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024038.
