Issue: rnOn a small number of electric buses, a software problem could cause the windshield defrost system not to work. As a result, the vehicles may not meet the requirements of Canadian regulations. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA windshield defroster that doesn't work could cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnMicro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a dealership to replace the high-voltage coolant heater control module.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024201.
