Issue: rnOn certain motorcycles, the recall repairs completed by a Suzuki dealer during recall 2174 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-088) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. rnrnOn certain motorcycles, a problem with the front brake master cylinder could cause the brake lever to move an increased distance before the brakes apply. If this happens, there could be reduced braking. rnNote: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2023-088. rnrnSafety Risk: rnReduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnSuzuki will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the front brake master cylinder.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024611.
