This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2025-513. rnrnIssue: rnThis recall is for engine coolant level sensors installed on certain transit buses or sold as a replacement part.rnrnOn certain transit buses, the engine coolant level sensor may be defective and could falsely detect a low level of coolant. If this happens, the engine could shut down and cause a loss of power to the wheels. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine coolant level sensor.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024706.
