Transport Canada carries this recall as 2025002, dated 7 January 2025. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 25V002, dated 6 January 2025. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, SB2500001.

The two registers are 1 day apart: the American entry is dated first, the Canadian one second.

Issue:

A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.Corrective Actions:
Tesla has released an over-the-air software update to fix this problem. Tesla will notify owners by email. Tesla will also identify vehicles in which the computer circuit board experienced a short circuit, or damage that could lead to a short circuit, prior to the release of software versions 2024.44.25.3, 2024.45.25.6 or a later release. If your vehicle is identified, you will be advised to contact Tesla Service to replace the car computer.
