Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the headlamps and tail lamps to turn off. As a result, the vehicles don't meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. rnNote: For the 2025 model year Sorento, this recall also affects hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. rn rnSafety Risk: rnHeadlamps and tail lamps that don't work properly cause reduced visibility and make the vehicle less visible to others. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnKia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body domain control unit software.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025011.
