Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the connector for the blower motor may have been damaged. As a result, the connector could fail and could cause the windshield defrost system not to work properly. This could cause the vehicles not to meet the requirements of Canadian regulations. rnNote: This recall affects both the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnFCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the blower motor assembly.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025354.
