Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the malfunction indicator for the electronic stability control (ESC) system could turn off even if there's a problem with the ESC system. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA driver that isn't aware of a problem with the ESC system could have an increased risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnGeneral Motors will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the electronic brake control module software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a GM dealership.
