Issue:
This recall is for certain trailer wiring harnesses that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain vehicles, the trailer wiring harness may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, water could leak into the harness and cause it to fail. If this happens, the trailer lights and/or the vehicle's stop lights may not work. This could also cause the wiring harness to short circuit.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a Hyundai Genuine accessory trailer wiring harness part number N7H03-AP100.Safety Risk:
Vehicle and/or trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle and/or trailer less visible and cause others not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a short circuit can create the risk of a fire.Corrective Actions:
Hyundai will notify owners in writing. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025702.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Hyundai Tucson, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Hyundai: 270 in the register, and 656 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2025.
