CARSMULTIVERSEWatch a recall

Transport Canada carries this recall as 2026103, dated 5 March 2026. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 26V130, dated 5 March 2026. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 832039.

Both registers carry the same date for this defect.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 26V130, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn a small number of RV trailers, the insulation on the wires for the shore power inlet may not have been removed properly. As a result, the wires could be exposed and cause electrical arcing (sparks). rnrnSafety Risk: rnElectrical arcing can create the risk of a fire. Exposed wiring could create a risk of shock or electrocution. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnNone of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Forest River will instruct dealers to inspect and, if necessary, repair the wiring for the shore power inlet before the trailers are delivered. To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you not to use the shore power inlet until the recall repairs are completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2026103.
