Issue: rnOn certain electric vehicles, the reverse sound of the pedestrian warning system may not be loud enough. Canadian regulations require electric vehicles to make a minimum sound level when operating at low speeds. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA pedestrian warning system that isn't loud enough could create an increased risk of injury for other road users. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnToyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) software.
