Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a nut in the steering gear assembly may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the nut could loosen and separate. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnGeneral Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering gear assembly.
