What the notice says エンジンボンネットにおいて、製造工程が不適切なため、ストライカーを固定しているリベットスタッドボルトが正しく圧着されていないものがある。そのため、高速走行時にボンネットに掛かる風圧によりボルト圧着部分に応力がかかり、ボルトが緩み、振動で異音が発生する。そのまま走行すると最悪の場合、ラッチが損傷し、ボンネットが開いて脱落するおそれがある。

エンジンボンネットにおいて、製造工程が不適切なため、ストライカーを固定しているリベットスタッドボルトが正しく圧着されていないものがある。そのため、高速走行時にボンネットに掛かる風圧によりボルト圧着部分に応力がかかり、ボルトが緩み、振動で異音が発生する。そのまま走行すると最悪の場合、ラッチが損傷し、ボンネットが開いて脱落するおそれがある。

What is to be done about it

全車両、ボンネットストライカーを点検し、正しく圧着されていない場合にはストライカー取付け部分を修正する。なお、修正が出来ない場合にはリベットスタッドボルトを取り外し、取付方法をブラケット方式に変更する。
