Concern

Rear wheel bearing may fail

Defect, as DVSA words it

A concern has been identified relating to the incorrect assembly of the rear axle. This may result in excessive wear of the wheel bearings which will lead to noise occurring from the rear axle. If this is not rectified the bearing may ultimately fail resulting in the assembly becoming detached from the axle.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recalled vehicles will be checked and fitted with new halfshafts as required.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because DVSA lists none for this recall. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
