Front axle could be out of alignment

Defect, as DVSA words it

It has been identified that the possibility exists that the front spring spacer plate position may be incorrectand the U bolts may not have been tightened to the correct torque setting.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recalled vehicles will have the position of the spacer plate checked. The spacer plate will be renewed if found to be incorrectly positioned. In addition the torque of the front spring U bolts will be checked.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because DVSA lists none for this recall. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.

Reading this against the source

This page is what the DVSA published in its file of vehicle recalls, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /uk-recalls, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
