Concern

Engine speed may increase unintentionally

Defect, as DVSA words it

It is possible that the internal contact resistance of the crimped joints for the grounding between the throttle position sensor (TPS) and engine control module may increase due to engine vibration. This can lead to an increased TPS voltage output which could lead to an increase in engine revolutions whilst at idle without any throttle input.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall all affected vehicles for the installation of a new wiring harness.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because DVSA lists none for this recall. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.

Isuzu TROOPER in the other registers

This site holds seven national and European registers. Isuzu TROOPER is named on 9 Canadian notices and 2 Israeli. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Isuzu elsewhere in this register

Isuzu is named on 10 notices in the copy of the DVSA’s register held here, of which these are the nearest to this one in time.

The same concern: ENGINE SPEED MAY INCREASE UNINTENTIONALLY

2 notices in this register name ENGINE SPEED MAY INCREASE UNINTENTIONALLY. A defect that keeps returning under one heading is worth reading as a group rather than one notice at a time.

Reading this against the source

This page is what the DVSA published in its file of vehicle recalls, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /uk-recalls, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
