Concern

Risk of short circuit

Defect, as DVSA words it

It has been identified that the battery positive and negative cables may chaff on a bracket/area between the engine and the gearbox. If this occurs then it can result in a short circuit with associated damage and even possibly a fire. In addition the Circuit 50 cable may also chaff and short circuit on the battery cable. This can cause the starter to engage and cause a risk to persons working around the vehicle.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recall all affected vehicles to check the cables and reroute the cabling.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
