Concern

Left Handlebar Switch Harness Failure

Defect, as DVSA words it

Symptom: The horn does not sound and/or the headlight may not be switched from low beam to high beam.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Phase 1 – Campaign 3RC (temporary repair)The countermeasure left handlebar switch is not expected to be available until January 2026 therefore a temporary repair to secure the left handlebar switch harness to the handlebar using repair bands can be carried out to help reduce any possible failure. Phase 2 – Campaign 3RD Replace the left handlebar switch assembly with countermeasure parts kit that eliminates the joints inside the wire harness.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.

Honda Motorcycles CRF1100A in the other registers

This site holds seven national and European registers. Honda Motorcycles CRF1100A is named on 1 Israeli notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

The Israeli register

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Honda Motorcycles elsewhere in this register

Honda Motorcycles is named on 108 notices in the copy of the DVSA’s register held here, of which these are the nearest to this one in time.

Reading this against the source

This page is what the DVSA published in its file of vehicle recalls, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /uk-recalls, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
