Concern

25S99 - E-Transit - 12V Battery Venting

Defect, as DVSA words it

Affected vehicles could experience venting of the 12 Volt batteries. Customers may experience one or more of acid smell or smell of rotten eggs in the cabin hissing sound the battery visibly venting gas or heat in the front seats.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Inspect the batteries and replace if necessary. Install a vent tube to the batteries and update the Power Control Module software.

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
