Concern

25SD9 - E-Transit – Halfshaft Retention Force

Defect, as DVSA words it

On affected vehicles left-hand rear half shafts were not fully seated into the electric drive assembly which may result in premature wear and a leak. This may eventually lead to a loss of motive power or unintended vehicle movement while the vehicle is in Park (if the parking brake is not applied).

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Check with a gauge disassemble and check further if necessary. Replace parts if required.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

Ford E-Transit in the other registers

This site holds seven national and European registers. Ford E-Transit is named on 3 American notices, 3 Canadian and 1 European. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Ford elsewhere in this register

Ford is named on 371 notices in the copy of the DVSA’s register held here, of which these are the nearest to this one in time.

Reading this against the source

This page is what the DVSA published in its file of vehicle recalls, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /uk-recalls, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.

This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Ford E-Transit, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
