Concern

Steering Road Assemblies

Defect, as DVSA words it

Affected components may not have been correctly heat-treated during production resulting in reduced durability of the ball pins which may increase the risk of a subsequent drag link separation. A complete breakage in the drag link could sever the connection between the steering rod and both vehicle wheels leading to a lack of steerability and potentially to an increased accident risk with personal injury.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Affected components will be replaced.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
