Concern

The harness may be pinched between the pillion step and the frame body

Defect, as DVSA words it

When the pillion step is assembled and the wiring harness is not correctly positioned the harness may be pinched between the pillion step and the frame body or between the luggage box and the frame body.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

All potentially affected vehicles will be inspected to confirm any wiring harness damage. Vehicles identified with a damaged wiring harness will receive a new replacement harness. Addition of a band will be applied to prevent reoccurrence.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference, because the reference DVSA lists is too short to match safely. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.

Reading this against the source

This page is what the DVSA published in its file of vehicle recalls, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /uk-recalls, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
